12-18-12 Snow Day

It snowed while we were in Richfield. We wished we were well enough to play in it.
I love this edit on this photo! The first snow our van has had on it since we took ownership. I asked Emsley just now what do you remember about this picture of you. She said, " I remember I wanted to go out in the snow and go on the sled.

Annual Christmas party at Grandma Mairiam's House

Of course there was food, family, and fun. It was so fantastic to see everyone. We had large crock pots of soup: turkey noodle, a cheesy potato chowder, and a taco chili.  My dad made my recipe for homemade bread-sticks, others brought a crisp veggie tray and pumpkin desserts. Just thinking about all the great food makes me want to jump back in time.

I managed to snap a few pics. How did I not get any of our family. James was sick and Brinley was starting to get sick as well. We stayed at my parents house and we exchanged going to Grandma's to visit while one stayed with the sick kids.

 Close up of little peanut.
She is wearing a teeny flower print gerber kimono shirt with some preemie purple velvet type pants.
This is one of the smallest outfits we have.
I want to remember how tiny she is.
This is one of the kids favorite activities. Build a fort or house fill it with pillows for make due beds and pack as many toys as you can into it. Look at that organization. I hope she is this organized as a teen. There is Em always in a dress up; she loves them. James is in bed and she is making him breakfast. How sweet.

Sunday December Ninth
Brinley fell asleep while Joni was holding her. Joni thought we needed a picture of her lovely lips.
Our Family all dressed up! Man I love my cute little family. Do you like Aaron's tie style. A guy in our ward and Aaron are trying to start a new fashion.
We snapped one quick picture of these cousins. I wish we had one with all the cousins.
How funny Mckaila with her arm around Em and James trying to get his arm around Josh.
Grandma Sheri Schafer with her ninth grandchild.
One handsome husband and adorable bundle of joy.
Em and James only were able to hold still for one family and one cousin picture. Beautiful Brinley sleeping away could have had her picture taken for an hour.
Random happenings of the day. The big picture is all the Foisy family except Andrea.
Left bottom picture: Alexandrea, Kevin, Ethan, and Katelyn.
It was so fun to see the kids getting along so well. Here are some of them playing the piano.

Aurora's Homecomming
James & Josh
Em & Makaila
Making ginger bread houses
The boys enjoyed eating their houses.
Random family pictures I had Aaron take. Can you spot me breast feeding Brinley?
Emsley and Makaila  playing dress-up. Sweet little princesses with sparkling eyes and smiles.
These two were so excited to see each other!
Brinley listening to her Dad.
Joni, Emsley, and Makaila
The Grand kids were all excited to open up a present from their Grandparents. All the kids enjoyed snuggling up with their christmas pillows and blankets.

The Schafers all got together for Aurora's Mission Homecomming. Saturday evening we all had dinner together then had a gift exchange. The girls caught up chatting in one of the up stairs bedrooms. Aaron and his Dad watched a movie, and the rest of the boys had a night of computer gaming. The only two we missed were Ammon and Cory who was home sick.

Sunday Aurora spoke in church about her mission in Riverside, CA. After church we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Schafers to eat lunch and visit.

12-7-12 Brinley's 2 week Dr. Appt.

Two week check up with Dr. Kaddu.
I was able to go with Brinley, while Aaron stayed with Emsley and James, which was very nice.
Stats: 7.47 Lbs  24%
Length 20.24 inches 48%
OFC (Head circumfrence) 13.9 in 36%
 Practically perfect in every way.
James has a soft touch. He'd say, "This the baby's nose?"
I feel so lucky! What a beautiful baby!
Looking sooo little in her carseat.
Love all that hair. After washing her hair it goes curly .
 Sweet sleeping baby Brinley.

Emsley wanted a few pictures with Brinley.
Early morning coloring. Emsley's fairy picture.

We love this little angel. We love talking to her and getting cute little grins.
It's hard to get her looking into the camera.

Brinley sleeping...so peaceful....I'm loving soaking up every minute with her.
We had lost of time soaking her in watching her sleep.
My Mom took the kids to the library.
James and Brinley. He is the softest of the two kids. His hand barely caresses her when he touches her.
Emsley loves holding Brinley everyday.

More of Brinley's birthday pictures

This was about 20 min after she was born. Funny story: Aaron's Mom called Aaron and said she was on her way to the birth and his reply was, "It's a Girl!"
Aaron's Mom came by for a few minutes then came back with the rest of the family later.
(Like I said before camera had the wrong time)
Aaron, my Mom, Liz, and her assistant were who attended the birth. It was nice to have minimal people.

Brinley getting weighed. 6 lbs 11oz
Emsley wanted to get right up by her momma and make sure I was doing good.

 Kids getting a first look.
Emsley wanted to touch her right away.

James and his expression. The baby was getting weighed when they walked in and the baby was making noises. James couldn't figure out what was making the noise and where the baby was.
 Footprints.

 First family picture.
 Emsley just studding Brinley.
James having a turn. This little man was so excited he was bursting with smiles.

 Emsley giving Brinley some love.
 Best big sister.
Emsley didn't want to part when someone else wanted a turn to hold Brinley.

I used my old hospital mug to ensure I stayed hydrated. The kids both love straws. They immediately want to have drink when they spot a cup with a straw.
It was so nice to be resting and feeding Brinley in my own bed right after the birth. Liz stayed after the birth about 4 hours then a phone call away if needed.
Once Emsley laid eyes on Brinley she wanted to be right in on everything. Even the feedings.

 Little precious.

Me and my girls. Emsley running her hands through mommy's hair.

Pa Pa talking and connecting with Brinley.

 Emsley loves her Uncle Joe.
Me enjoying Aaron change a diaper.
