Christmas Lights on a Castle

We had to drive by this amazing house before the season ended. This is a house on the South side of St. George. The man constructed a facade to make his home look like a castle and strung a million lights all over. There are several blow up decorations, painted characters, music, and even a movie screen projector that showed Elsa during the song "Let it go."

Monday Morsels 12/29/2014

:::Emsley:::
01. A couple weeks ago she made a card game mimicking the game memory. She cut out "cards" and drew pictures on each card, having two of each picture.
02. Aaron gave her a few minute art lesson on how to draw mountains. She drew a picture that proved she was listening, "Elsa Mountains".  She is very talented at art and loves it.
03. She wasn't too disappointed that Santa brought her an art easel instead of a
my salon doll (cost $127.99) I told her, "You are lucky!
You have Brinley and I to practice doing hair on.
04. She has been using her chalkboard to teach lessons to James and Brinley.
05. Other favorite toys are her Ariel doll, and Frozen necklace with singing box.

:::James:::
01. He has started to notice that he doesn't speak clear all the time. He said something to me and I said what twice. Then he said I don't talk very good sometimes.
02. He loves his "tracks" that Great Grandma Mairiam got him for Christmas.
In fact all the kids do!
03. When he earns money doing chores he loves to put it in his "dragon" bank.
04. He is good at sounding out simple words. He is starting to read

:::Brinley:::

01. She has pick up a habit of saying Huh! Not Huh? But Huh!
I will say something to her like: "You love eating...huh!"
Her reply back will be "Huh!"
02. She has starting putting her hair in her mouth and chewing on it.
03. She loves to "pick". Wither it be a scab or food on her face etc.

:::Jacob:::

01. He is growing up so fast! Some of his 0-3 month clothes are getting snug.
02. He received a gift from his Great Aunt Mashell that he and I love.
It is a super soft and warm minkey blanket
green on one side yellow on the other.
03. When people see him for the first time common things they say are:
He is so beautiful! He has a lot of hair especially toward the back crown.
(I think of all the babies he is second for most hair.)
04. He has started to laugh. Daddy is the one who makes him laugh the most.

Annual Watts Family Christmas Party

{December 20th, 2014}

The event was at the Quality Center. We ate a yummy lunch. We missed Grandma "D" this year. She is in Pennsylvania with her Dad. I think she still got and wrapped all the presents what a job!

Next the tickets were passed out for the gift game. Each person received a ticket and waits for their matching ticket to be called. Once your number is called you get to go up to the gift table and pick a wrapped gift or you can take one that someone else has picked. Once all the gifts are gone everyone opens the one they end up with.

 James was one of the first to be called.
 He was so excited to pick a big green present.
 Then when he realized it could be stolen he got his arms around it tight.
 Brinley was excited to help Grandpa pick one out.
 Now one for Daddy.

 Joey's turn.

 Love Emsley laughing in this one.

 James seeing that someone took Landon's big present is getting worried.

 Brinley loves babies.
  I bet Grandpa is looking down from Heaven smiling seeing all the fun.
 Grandpa and his girls. Emsley wondering, "Which one do I choose?"
 Emma got her one.
 Brinley making the rounds. Here she is between Lydia and Jamie.
 She was thrilled when it was her turn.

 We knew she would go for a one with pink Hello Kitty wrapping.

One for Mommy.
 Brinley helping Grandma pick one out.

 My sweet Jacob. Just happy to be loved.

 Time to open.
 James was so happy his present was not taken.
 Seeing what everyone opened.
 James opened up a tub of licorice and was happy as a lark. I convinced him to trade Jacob,
and Jacob would share the licorice with everyone.
 I opened up two homemade jars of apple butter, which I can't wait to try.
Also in the box was a gift card to Dairy Queen.
 Alesha and Rylan.
Cute Melanie with her blanket.
 Shantel and Braxton.
 Bradley and his Disney villains puzzle.
 Mya and her Minnie shirt.
Emsley, Holli, and Emma.
 These girls had so much fun together.
 Family Picture of most who attended.
Silly picture everyone.
